Trio Arundel was formed in 1992 and has performed widely on college campuses, performing arts series, and national conferences both in the United States and abroad. Conference performances include the International Double Reed Conferences of 2007 and 2003, the International Horn Symposia of 2005 and 2001, and the 1999 Music Teachers’ National Association Convention. Performances abroad include the “Music at Whim” performing arts series in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and a series of concerts in Watford, England as representatives of the Sister Cities program with Wilmington, Delaware.
The members of Trio Arundel strive to increase the available repertoire for oboe, horn and piano through research, commissioning projects, and arrangements. To date we have commissioned works by composers Jennifer Barker, Paul Basler, and Pamela Marshall, and have created arrangements of music by Donizetti, Dvorak, Haydn, and others.
